A beginner-friendly retinoid serum to help improve signs of ageing.

Retinoids are Vitamin A ingredients that help increase the rate at which old skin cells are replaced with new ones. With regular use, they can help soften the appearance of fine lines, improve uneven texture and leave skin looking brighter and more even.

The formula combines 0.1% Retinol with Retinal, a more active form of Vitamin A. It also contains Bakuchiol, a plant-derived ingredient that's often used alongside retinoids in skincare products designed to be gentler on the skin.

Because retinoids can sometimes cause dryness while your skin adjusts, the formula also includes Centella Asiatica, Panthenol and Ceramide NP to help support the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss, keeping skin feeling more comfortable during the adjustment period.

Niacinamide and Liquorice Root Extract help brighten uneven skin tone and the appearance of post-breakout marks, complementing the smoothing effects of the retinoids.

If you're new to retinoids, introducing them gradually is the best approach. Start by using the serum once or twice a week before increasing the frequency as your skin builds tolerance. Mild dryness or flaking can be a normal part of this adjustment period, so always ensure you’re using complimentary products packed with nourishing ingredients.

Because retinoids can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight exposure, they should be used at night, and a sunscreen with high SPF (we always recommend at least SPF50+) must be applied during the day.

How to use

1. Use at night only
Apply after cleansing and toning, before your moisturiser.

2. Start with a pea-sized amount
Spread a thin layer evenly across your face, avoiding the eye area and lips.

3. Introduce it gradually
Start once a week for the first week, twice a week the following week, then slowly build up to two or three nights per week if your skin is tolerating it well.

4. Wear sunscreen every morning
Retinoids can make your skin more sensitive to UV exposure, so daily sunscreen is essential.

Avoid using other strong exfoliating acids on the same evening until your skin has adjusted.
