Carrotene IPMP™ Hydromelt Cleansing Balm

A buttery cleanser designed to remove makeup and get deep into pores to remove blackheads.

This cleanser contains APRILSKIN’s own Carrotene IPMP™ formula that contains coconut derived and carrot seed oils. It is advertised as an acne-fighting formulation, however its first ingredient is Ethylhexyl Palmitate (that is comedogenic, meaning it can lead to clogged pores). Saying this, we couldn’t ignore the wide spread love of this cleanser, and with a follow up of a foaming cleanser to your routine, the Ethylhexyl Palmitate in this product may not be a deal breaker for some skin types.

APRILSKIN’s Carrotene IPMP™ formula uses Beta-carotene, which is rich in antioxidants, protecting the skin barrier (outer layer of your skin). This cleansers ability to emulsify (slightly foam up into a white substance) and draw out sebaceous filaments (sebum/skin gunk) makes it a crowd favourite to remove makeup and sunscreen at the end the day.

APRILSKIN has also stated that the yellow colour of this cleanser is due to the Beta Carotene extracted from carrot roots that is naturally yellow.

Well suited: regular, oily, and ages between 16 and 40

Well suited, but be wary: dry, combination, sensitive, rosacea, pregnancy, eczema, psoriasis, those 16 years and under, and those 40 years of age and over (we note that there are numerous perfuming ingredients in this product, as well as essential oils and has a strong citrus fragrance - if you find that fragrance is a known irritation for you and your skin, then skip this product)

Not well suited: acne-prone, and those wanting to avoid fungal acne triggers
