A buttery cleanser designed to remove makeup and get deep into pores to remove blackheads.
This cleanser contains APRILSKIN’s own Carrotene IPMP™ formula that contains coconut derived and carrot seed oils. It is advertised as an acne-fighting formulation, however it’s first ingredient is Ethylhexyl Palmitate (that is comedogenic, meaning it can lead to clogged pores). However, we couldn’t ignore the wide spread love of this cleanser, and with a follow up of a foaming cleanser to your routine, the Ethylhexyl Palmitate in this product may not be a dealbreaker for the skin types listed below in ‘Not good for’.
APRILSKIN’s Carrotene IPMP™ formula boasts Beta-carotene that is rich in antioxidants, protecting the skin barrier. This cleansers ability to emulsify and draw out sebaceous filaments makes it a crowd favourite to remove makeup and sunscreen at the end the day.
APRILSKIN has also stated that the yellow colour of this cleanser is due to the Beta Carotene extracted from carrot roots that is naturally yellow.
Good for: regular, oily, and those aged between 16 and 40
Not so good for: acne-prone, pregnancy, and those wanting to avoid fungal acne triggers
Be aware of fragrance: dry, combo, mature, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, sensitive skin, under 16 and over 40 years of age (we note that there are numerous perfuming ingredients in this product, as well as essential oils and has a strong citrus fragrance). If you find that fragrance is a known irritation for you and your skin, then skip this product

How to use
How to use
✲ As the first step in your night time routine, use the provided spatula and scoop a coin sized amount onto clean fingers
✲ Gentle massage over the entire face, paying close attention to areas with makeup or blocked pores
✲ Wet your hands and rub water into the product on your face, emulsifying the product into a milky texture
✲ Rub for an extended period of time in a rolling pattern, and watch the sebaceous filaments extract themselves
✲ Rinse face thoroughly, being careful of your eyes
✲ Ensure that you follow up with a foaming or water based cleanser to ensure that your pores are cleared completely of this product
✲ This product can be used daily
✲ Caution:
- Due to the use of Ethylhexyl Palmitate and Seed Oils, this product isn’t deemed fungal acne safe
- Always patch test in inner elbow before use, especially due to the fragrances
- Discontinue use if signs of irritation appear
- For external use only
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Do not apply to broken or inflamed skin
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store in cool and dry places, away from direct sunlight
