After water, this product’s top ingredients are Glycerin, Niacinamide and Tranexamic Acid. These ingredients are powerhouses in their benefits and we love how high on the list they are! Glycerin is a well-loved natural moisturiser that naturally occurs in the skin. Niacinamide is a known superhero of the skincare world with it’s multiple uses such as increasing ceramides (barrier repair and protection), reducing brown spots (and other discolouration), smoothing out of fine lines and wrinkles, and balancing sebum productions (the natural oil from your face) and anti-inflammatory properties (amazing for acne-prone skin). Tranexamic Acid not only fades existing discolouration, but it also prevents more from developing with consistent use, which can be very helpful for those with acne scaring.
Anua has also stated that the pink colour of this serum is due to the Vitamin B which is naturally pink in colour.
Good for: regular, dry, combination, oily, acne-prone, mature, eczema, psoriasis, 16 and over
Not as good for: 16 years and under, rosacea & pregnancy, and those wanting to avoid fungal acne triggers

How to use
How to use
✲ After cleansing and toning, just before moisturiser, place a few drops (3-4) on clean fingers and gently massage into skin, avoiding your mouth and eyes
✲ This product can be used up to twice, daily. If irritation occurs, use less frequently. We recommend starting with once a day
✲ Ensure you apply sunscreen if going out into the sun as the use of this product without the proper protection from UV rays can exacerbate any discolouration
✲ Due to the use of Seed Oils, this product isn’t deemed fungal acne safe
✲ Science lesson time! Arbutin turns into Hydroquinone on the skin due our skin’s naturally acidic pH, and as Hydroquinone is not well-studied on it’s effect during pregnancy, it’s recommended that you avoid these ingredients while pregnant
✲ As Arbutin turns into Hydroquinone (as we’ve just learnt), we believe this may be too harsh for those with rosacea, and should only be used after a flare up for those with psoriasis.
✲ Under 16 year olds should avoid this product due to the Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) which their young skin doesn’t need, and may just lead to irritation and too-early intervention into their skin’s natural growth
✲ Caution:
- Always patch test in inner elbow before use, especially if you have sensitive skin as this has slight fragrance
- Discontinue use if signs of irritation appear
- For external use only
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Do not apply to broken or inflamed skin
- Keep out of reach of children
